CONTAINER
OF AID ARRIVES IN MOZAMBIQUE
The container of
aid has arrived and the distribution of clothes and shoes has
commenced. Clothes for orphans, school children and even for many
who are in prison. Shoes were especially welcome at the institute
for the blind. Blind people have no way of ever earning an income
and are in deep poverty. Unable to buy shoes their feet get
severley damaged in the rough African paths and even in the city. A
pair of shoes changes so very much in the lives of these
people.
We have sent sewing machines to add to
our sewing project. Parents of children, especially widows, are
taught to sew and earn an income. This enables them to buy food and
get an education for their children.
Construction
equipment was also included to better equip our builders to make
water wells and build schools. Power tools and a petrol generator
will help them in the construction areas that have no power supply.
